Exhibits Development Group reveals details of new exhibition SAMURAI: Sunrise, Sunset
Exhibits Development Group (EDG), a global leader in travelling exhibitions, has announced that it has collaborated once more with Contemporanea Progetti, its creative partners based in Florence, Italy. Together, the two firms will deliver a significant international tour for the exhibition SAMURAI: Sunrise, Sunset.
The exhibition explores hundreds of years of Japan’s powerful military past with exquisitely produced armour, weaponry, and personal items.
Japan’s fascinating military history
SAMURAI: Sunrise, Sunset presents approximately 100 fine objects relating to the famous Samurai warrior class. The exhibition is curated from the Museo Stibbert’s vast Japanese collection in Florence, Italy, one of the most exceptional collections outside of Japan.
Visitors will see beautifully made uniforms, unique helmets influenced by nature and the sacred, and the iconic Japanese sword, the katana. They will discover the Samurai way of life with lacquered calligraphy boxes, incense trays, and other items that illustrate Japan’s wider socio-political context.
SAMURAI: Sunrise, Sunset is available to book from May 2025.
Innovative touring exhibitions
Earlier this month, Exhibits Development Group (EDG) announced that it is now taking bookings for its pioneering Evolution exhibition. This is the first entirely immersive and animatronic exhibition curated by Dr Enrico Squazzini, and presents an innovative vision of dinosaurs – the world’s favourite exhibition subject.
Piero Cozzi has contributed his sensory and artistic expertise to the project. Cozzi was previously CEO of Filmmaster MEA and co-produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. He now leads new art events that fascinate, inspire and challenge audiences in his current role as founder and president of The Aimes. Cozzi’s innovative leadership has brought Evolution to life, and the exhibition sold out in its first month.
In addition, the firm has recently shared details of the third chapter in Stage 9 Exhibit’s popular Expedition Dinosaur series, Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep. Here, visitors can travel through time and explore the mysteries of the Jurassic period.
