DRESSING THE ABBEY

Dressing The Abbey
Transport your visitors to the early 20th century as they relive their favorite memories and nostalgia of the costumes of Downton Abbey™, a British-American television series and major motion picture set on the eponymous fictional English country estate. The series explores the lives of its aristocratic inhabitants and their servants – together with the latest fashion trends. Through 35 bespoke costumes created for the series, the exhibition presents a fashion history of the period surrounding World War I, a period that changed the social fabric of Great Britain.
